4 person meals are designed to be cooked in a 4-6 quart slow cooker on low for 8 hours (a little longer is fine, as is cooking on high for 4 hours). 2 person meals are designed to be cooked in a 2-4 quart slow cooker on low for 8 hours. If your slow cooker is larger, an oven safe dish can be inserted so that the meal takes up 2/3 of the dish. Most meals can also be cooked on your stovetop as well.
